Why it matters
Work Orders, in context.
A service conversation explains a need, but execution requires more: an agreed scope, responsibility, timing and evidence of what was done. Treating a reply as a completed repair can leave the original problem unresolved and make subsequent follow-up difficult.
The Estalink approach
A considered way forward.
Estalink's work-order direction builds on the current Help Desk foundation without claiming that a full work-order module exists today. The intended relationship is a clear progression from reported concern to an approved plan and a record of the work performed.
An appropriate future deployment would define assignment authority, changes to scope, service partner access and the evidence required before completion. A work order would remain connected to the original request and relevant equipment, rather than duplicating sensitive details across unrelated systems. It would not independently authorize spending or override Estate permissions.
The conceptual journey
From context to the next step.
Understand the request
Begin with the current service conversation and determine what needs investigation. A report may require clarification before it can become a meaningful work plan.
Define the scope
A future authorized planner could specify the task, equipment context and responsibility. Scheduling and approval would need explicit rules rather than automatic conversion of every request.
Coordinate execution
The planned workflow could connect authorized vendors or technicians to relevant information. It should not expose an entire Estate's records merely to complete one task.
Review the evidence
A responsible person would assess the result and retain service history. Closing a work item should mean more than receiving a provider notification or posting a reply.
Capability focus
What connects here.
- Request-to-work relationship direction
- Explicit scope and responsibility
- Asset and schedule connections
- Vendor/technician handover direction
- Human-reviewed completion history
Designed for people
Clear responsibilities.
- Facility supervisors
- Estate operations teams
- Future authorized service partners
Help Desk supplies today's conversation. Asset Management would identify the equipment, and Preventive Maintenance would connect planned work to a recurring care schedule.
Estate AI-OS relationship
Insight without taking authority.
Advisory insight could highlight repeated requests and suggest the right record to inspect. AI cannot assign work, approve costs or certify completion.
Explore Estate AI-OSAvailability & deployment context
Full work orders are platform direction, not an operational V1 module. Current service requests and replies remain the available foundation.
Capability availability may vary by estate, deployment and release phase.
A demonstration should establish which workflows are applicable to your Estate, who is authorized to use them and what integration or release conditions still apply. Illustrations on this page are conceptual, not customer records, live metrics or operational controls.
