Smart Notifications & Updates, in context.
An alert can be useful without being the source of truth. Provider acceptance does not prove physical receipt, and physical receipt does not prove the user acted. Retrying an ambiguous send without durable evidence can also produce confusing duplicate messages.
The Estalink approach
A considered way forward.
Estalink uses governed notification and transactional-email pathways for the workflows they support. Delivery authority, device or recipient eligibility and durable submission evidence matter independently of the interface that displays an update. A notification must not leak a record into an unrelated Estate or recipient.
The purpose is to help people return to the right protected workflow, not to turn an alert into a permission grant. Authentication and recovery emails have specific authority and expiry rules. A marketing page does not expose those payloads or imply that all proposed movement notifications are enabled; movement-notification expansion remains deferred.

Begin with a governed event
An eligible workflow establishes the relevant notification or email intent. The recipient and purpose are not arbitrary replacements chosen at send time.
Validate delivery authority
The dispatch pathway checks the applicable recipient, device and current eligibility. A stale registration or expired authority should not be treated as a valid target.
Preserve the outcome
Submission evidence and logical reconciliation distinguish accepted, failed and uncertain outcomes. Unknown provider results are not a reason for blind duplicate sends.
Navigate to the record
The recipient opens the relevant protected flow. Existing authentication and permission checks still apply, even when the notification itself was legitimately delivered.
